About this Panama Geisha Coffee

With art, tradition, and soul at the core of Longboard Specialty Coffee’s philosophy, their mission is to use the balance between tradition and innovation in the quest to find “stoke” in a cup.

Sharing the same mountain as Elida Estate, this year’s Natural #6 lot showcased unmissable fruits and clarity that defies its process.

“Feeling so good ‘stokes’ the fire of life within and brings a positive vibration to the remainder of your day. Much like enjoying an amazing cup of coffee that delights the palate and stimulates the senses.”

Misty Mountain is perched at the top of an impossibly steep, kilometre long drive that rises swiftly through a lush cloud forest, isolating it from other farms and the modern world. The screech of monkey and the call of bird let you know you have arrived at a truly remote and magical refuge.

The property consists of 12 hectares, approximately 5 of which are currently planted in Geisha, Catuai, Typica, Pache, and Pacamara, with Geisha being the dominant varietal.

The farm rises from an elevation of 1500 to 1750 meters above sea level, with the traditional varietals planted in the lower section, and the Geishas content to dominate the higher elevations.

The orientation is primarily south facing with some west with mainly gentle slopes and intermittent flat areas. The southerly exposure allows for more sunlight to penetrate the canopy while protecting the plantation from the damaging north winds of the dry season.
