Introducing the Indonesia Frinsa, March’s Coffee of the Month at Campos.
From legendary Indonesian producer Pak Wildan comes this very special microlot from West Java. Applying new world techniques to established regional varieties, Mr Wildan is able to showcase, with great clarity the herbal and spice complexity that makes Indonesian coffee unique while adding his own signature.
Using a blend of regional varieties based mainly on Sigararutang, Andung Sari, and Bor-Bor, the cherries are harvested, floated and sorted. This particular lot blends two types of experimental honey processes that use native yeast strains as well as Tempe cultures to control the fermentation process in order to achieve a specific flavour profile.
Frinsa Estate comprises approximately 110 hectares and is located in West Java, locally called Sunda. It is a fully equipped facility with the capacity to manage each step of the process from harvest to shipment. After meeting Pak Wildan last year we were incredibly impressed with his comprehensive knowledge and unlimited passion and energy for coffee. This is our second year showcasing the coffees from Frinsa Estate.
